OOC camping plotting post thing

So, let's see what happens when you take a bunch of badass teenagers and take them camping.

If there's anything particular you'd like to do or things that you think could make for an interesting CR opportunity, slap a post in here and everyone can skitter around and reply to one another.

To get some ideas rolling:

Some sort of dilapidated stone barn (but still with a roof) is where Ellie is going to suggest (make) them pitch camp! Be grateful she didn't make you all carry tents and put them up. B|

But bonfires, a bunch of food, hunting... maybe? (Can you eat stuff that you hunt in the Outlands?)
And just trying to be a bunch of normal teenagers, which they really aren't.

Characters coming along are:
Ellie and Fi from Tomorrow, Katniss from the Hunger Games, Peter from The Amazing Spider Man, Cedric Diggory from Harry Potter, Asami from Legend of Korra, Collette from Animorphs, Mitsuki from an original universe about tragic magical girls and Steph from DC comics.

YEAH. Maybe we just tackle this like a regular CR post and sort of give a basic run down of your character and stuff you'd be into and any specific or super vague ideas you have and just... yeah.

Don't bring slippers and make up and a dressing gown, because Ellie will make fun.

who will be playing the role of your fearless leader this evening. Personally I'm alarmed that she has this many people to ask along and that they all agreed. Last time she organised a camping trip Australia got invaded, so, you know. Let's hope Nothing Bad Happens.

She's trying really hard to work on being less of an asshole and being less volatile, and to get some of the cool folks she's met and who don't know as many people to have more friends and force them to socialise with one another. (Looking at you, Steph.) Also, she will have twisted arms and bugged people into it if you think they'd have been reticent.

She's a country kid, so she might just laugh at any lamenting about dirt and grime, but she'll also want people to have fun. She is baking some stuff before they leave so B( B( B( ENJOY IT, JERKS
And in fact will bring a massive pile of junk food, if she can get her hands on it.

I'm not sure if you can actually eat what you get in the Outlands, but if they can then maybe she and Katniss can go a-hunting. Yes.

As an aside, she'll probably just quietly sneak off and do sentry duty while other people are sleeping, because old habits die hard, despite her efforts to organise relaxed awesome times.

You can totally eat what you kill out there. In fact it's totally kosher.

Collette likewise would pull sentry, (I imagine Steph at least probably would too, from a different angle), so if you'd like sentry buddies or tag-teaming I'd be great with/for that!

Also everything HEY would Ellie want extra cookies baked to be brought along, Colls could totally do that it's one thing she actually cannot mess up! Mostly!

Ellie go the fuck to sleep, as if Steph is gonna be able to sleep when there are a bunch of people making noises and stuff, she might as well do sentry duty.

Collette's actually gone camping out and around in the "outlands" before with Caesar (and camped during the Wild West week), so she has an idea of what goes on. She's glad to help round up usable firewood, but will suggest someone other than her deal with food since her top level camp-wise is a) marshmallows and b) making Caesar do the cooking and we ain't got either here so...

She move around in morph, and tends to demorph once people are hanging out in a single location for a while -- primarily back at camp. Morphs most commonly used are coyote and eagle, with mutant canine making an appearance if muscle is needed against the local wildlife.

Cedric loves camping! He's so excited.

He'll produce as much clean water as they need, magic's handy for that. He's a little too fidgety to hunt, but he'll also happily make fires and participate in roasts. He will attempt to tell campfire stories if he ever gets the chance.

That hill leading down to the barn looks like fun for sliding down. Maybe on a rainy day or just after some rain he'll tie a sled together and go down the muddy slide? It'll be fun, he promises.

Cedric is going to totally be Ellie's new favourite person to go camping with. What can he do about smoke blowing in peoples faces? Is there a spell for that?

Also Ellie is going to bring a pile of tea and coffee, and she might put Cedric in charge of that to be a troll since he is the English one 8|

I think she's the oldest of everyone going (god she's like twenty now gross) so she'll probably end up being a bit of a mother hen, although a... good natured one. She won't entirely be relaxed but she's really good at pretending to be! So everyone will be treated to friendly and sociable Steph who's just secretly expecting something to go horribly wrong.

She will probably bring sensible food to accompany all the junk food and is armed to the teeth but hopefully no one needs to find out about that.

Mostly she will just offer to braid people's hair and make fussy gestures at them if she thinks they're getting dangerously close to the fire.

... has been to the Outlands before! At least to a certain distance, before she ran out of food before and had to turn back. She is more than used to making do on very little, both due to her experiences in her life in general, as well as in the arena(s). Though an accomplished hunter, she is, as a whole, mistrustful of some of the mutated life out in the wilderness... including, most notably, the FUCKING TALKING BIRDS

Has lived in a flashy urban Japanese environment like her entire life, she knows nothing about camping and is also a Rich Kid™ so she will spend half of her time wondering why she agreed to doing this and the other half trying not to cry

HOWEVER

she is really clever! and nice and never complains about anything ever even when it is terrible and she is in wilderness. she will bring baked goods probably because what do you bring to a camping trip? she has no idea but she knows how to make cookies. she'll be super polite to everyone.

also she's a magical girl with superpowers but that probably won't pop up unless danger is afoot

SO LATE TO THIS PARTY

Anyway Peter is a certified City Kid so he might be kind of bad at camping even if he is totally down with roughing it. He might also be a bit twitchy and easily distracted because there sure are a lot of strange noises in the middle of nowhere. If he finds a really tall tree you can bet your ass he'll sneak off and climb to the top of it!! Or anything tall he can find, basically. If anyone wants to find him while he's lurking on branches somewhere that is totally an option.

He'll try to keep to himself/wander off quite a bit, but I imagine that'll be a failed mission with this group. But this isn't his usual territory and he's not very great at meeting new people, so awkward nerd ahoy.

As for things he'll bring: not everything he needs for camping, seriously he's going to forget most of what he needs. He'll have his backpack w/his Spidey suit but he won't be sharing that, and he'll probably also pack some stuff from the food carts and chances are it doesn't travel well, so that'll be a mess.

Ohh man! I think Asami will really want to get to know Fi since she's Ellie's friend, and the pleasant surprise Fi's personality would be so sweet!

Wow look at me so totally late! Alright so. Asami will be that person who tries to lend a hand with anything she can possibly help with. She kind of has this Thing where she tries to impress groups of people, and if she can't impress her awesome new friends with an indoor pool then she'll try to show off her usefulness.

I'm also debating whether or not to bring her bike. At least for the purposes of scouting for the barn, since Collette's in pack mule mode? Even if that part's handwaved. Also, dirt riding is just fun, and getting her precious stuck in the mud would be totally not fun.

She can braid the hair of anyone who has long hair and stick daisy chains in it.

And uhh yeah! She's laid back and open to trying things, although some activities might require some nudging if it involves getting her hair too dirty. :) I'll add more when I think of stuff. I'mmm not a good idea person lol.

ETA: ALSO ALL THAT FOOD HAD BETTER BE COOKED. I'm going to say ever since Asami unwittingly ate garbage she's going to be very wary about what goes in her mouth.

So watch her be the one to get food poisoning or something.
